Probabilistic Dynamic Framed Slotted ALOHA for RFID Tag Identification
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper, we study Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) tag identification problems using Framed Slotted ALOHA (FSA) protocol. Each tag will be assumed to participate in the contention with a certain probability. Then, the frame size and the probability will be dynamically controlled by the reader in every reading round so that all the tags can be detected in a short period of time. Moreover, we propose a practical way of controlling the probability in terms of transmit power control, assuming Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel or flat Rayleigh fading channel. Computer simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Grouping Based Dynamic Framed Slotted ALOHA for Tag Anti-Collision Protocol in the Mobile RFID Systems
Dynamic framed slotted ALOHA (DFSA) protocol has been widely used in many RFID systems. According to the information from last frame (e.g. the number of idle, success and collision slots), DFSA dynamically adjusts the next frame size so as to reach higher identification efficiency. The process is known as tag estimation of DFSA. Similar to most existing tag anti-collision protocols, The DFSA in...
متن کاملA Frame Size Adjustment with Sub-Frame Observation for Dynamic Framed Slotted Aloha
In this paper, a simple frame size adjustment of dynamic framed slotted Aloha for tag identification in RFID networks is proposed. In dynamic framed slotted Aloha, the reader is required to announce the frame size for every frame. To achieve maximum system efficiency, it is essential to set the frame size according to the number unidentified tags appropriately. The proposed approach utilizes th...
متن کاملNovel Dynamic Framed-Slotted ALOHA Using Litmus Slots in RFID Systems
Dynamic Framed Slotted ALOHA (DFSA) is one of the most popular protocols to resolve tag collisions in RFID systems. In DFSA, it is widely known that the optimal performance is achieved when the frame size is equal to the number of tags. So, a reader dynamically adjusts the next frame size according to the current number of tags. Thus it is important to estimate the number of tags exactly. In th...

متن کاملHasten Dynamic Frame Slotted ALOHA Algorithm for Fast Identification in RFID System
The problems of identifying a set of tagged objects simultaneously in an RFID network have hampered the adoption of RFID universally. When multiple tags transmit their IDs in a single period of time to a single reader over a shared wireless channel, the tag signals may collide. This collision will disturb the reader’s identification process. Hence, we proposed a modified version of Accelerated ...
